Try clearing your internet caché as well. If your computer is taking a long time to load, I assume it may have a caché weighing it down. You might also want to try and Defragment your computer. I also recommend you download CCleaner (for getting rid of temporary files you don't want/need), Spybot - Search and Destroy and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scans of Spyware/Malware. Don't be alarmed by everything suddenly being massive and all the strange numbers. You will need to use your Keyboard arrows and Enter until you get into your computer.
When you get to the boot screen, select Safe Mode. (Including potential viruses.) To get into Safe Mode, you'll need to restart and at the very beginning when it's turning on, press F8 repeatedly. Have you tried scanning your system in Safe Mode? You'd be surprised what can turn up without the interferance of many running programs.

Is this problem with my motherboard? Or any other hardware?īut when I manually restart my PC it takes not more than 40 seconds to boot up again! I manually press and hold the power button for few seconds to turn off the CPU. And for that I've tried to do registry tweaks and it did not get solved that way either. I also have windows power down issue!Screen hangs at shutting down page. I have disabled unnecessary startup files by going to msconfig but it did not solve it.

In device manager no driver failure is detected.
When I switch the power on, power LED starts glowing only after 3 minutes! after 2 more minutes black screen appears which shows boot agent and restarting happens.
2 days back i also scanned my Desktop thoroughly with Windows live scan and fixed few registry errors and no other threats were reported. It takes around 7- 10 minutes to get the welcome screen! And during that process system restarts itself twice.I use McAfee AV and SuperSntiSpyware and PC looks like got no threats. I couldn't really swift through the forum completely, just in case my concern has been solved previously, please let me know, I will get directed to that page. And am here seeking ur help regarding slow boot up issue am facing with my Windows XP SP3 for a month now. Greetings everyone! I am new to Tech support guy forum.
